Friday, January 26th
2:00pm-6:00pm
Ridges Care Center Chapel

You're invited to join us at Ebenezer Ridges in Burnsville’s Annual Art with Heart Exhibition Open House as we celebrate Ridges vibrant artist community with a beautiful display of the art they created during the year.

Art with heart is a gathering of our imaginations, inner child, and creativity of our individual souls.

One thing that is so unique about Ebenezer Ridges Campus is the artwork that hangs in our common areas and in resident rooms. This artwork is created by the hands of the people of the Ridges community during our campus Art with Heart© program. The stunning success of art classes that take place on Campus are put on display for all to see. Many of the artists on our campus are seniors who have never had the opportunity to hold a paintbrush or draw on a canvas. These classes support Ebenezer’s commitment to Life Long Learning as they provide seniors with the resources, support and opportunity to participate in an educational and collaborative creative project.

In 2017, the art classes served over 80 seniors Ridges campus. Each of these artists will have their artwork featured in our Annual Art with Heart© Exhibition on Friday January 26th this year. Since 2012 the Art with Heart exhibit is now an annual event that provides opportunities for everyone in our community to appreciate and enjoy the incredible creative process and work that is done in these classes.

Art with Heart is not just great art class, it provides our community members with an opportunity to learn, grow, explore, play and create. Our residents and clients come to us for help to make their lives more healthy and meaningful and this creative programming opens a door for those that participate in it. Art with Heart has been described as a “gathering of our imaginations, inner child and creativity of our individual souls.” It is the cornerstone of Life Long Learning at Ebenezer Ridges campus. In order for us to sustain and develop or Life Long Learning programming our visual art classes need to be funded.

It is also important to note that the Ebenezer Foundation funds this program and the instructors names are Deborah Lyon and Susan Roufs.

We hope you'll join us!!
