Beautiful weather, people, and accommodations – time to enjoy silly, joke-filled banter and deep, contemplative conversations, time to take part in lake-inspired activities, time to create art and poetry, time to learn and play games and time to just sit and let your mind be carefree. More about Ridges Annual Camp Friendship What started as an opportunity to fulfill a resident’s dream has turned into a highly anticipated annual tradition at Ebenezer Ridges Campus in Burnsville. For the past seven years, a team of care providers from Ebenezer Ridges Campus takes residents from our care center, assisted living and memory care, as well as participants from our adult day center on a three-day, two-night camping trip to Camp Friendship in Annandale, MN. Residents from our Ridge Point Independent Living also join the group for the fun. On August 22nd, 40 seniors and 20 staff packed their belongings and camp equipment onto three buses and into a U-Haul and traveled 70 miles northwest to Camp Friendship. Here, the senior campers enjoyed pontoon rides, fishing, singing camp fire songs, roasting s’mores, doing arts and crafts and even commemorated their trip by tie dying a Camp Friendship t-shirt. The Care Center renovation is much more than just paint, pictures and furniture, the building's structure had a full renovation as well including the roof, all of the windows, and the heating/cooling/ventilation system have all been upgraded. We are so very pleased with the beautiful and hard work completed! If you were not able to make it to the Grand Opening, give us a call today for a tour, we'd love to show you around! 952-898-8400 |
