This year will mark the 6th year that Ebenezer Ridges has made the trip up to Annandale, MN to Camp Friendship. The idea of going on a camp trip was inspired by a Care Center Resident in 2012 who often reminisced about the trips her family would take up to their cabin every year. Staff wanted to provide this experience again from her and for other Resident that lived on campus, so every August 45-75 staff and Residents haul their belonging and camp equipment up to Annandale, MN for either 3-days, 2-nights or a day trip. This year we were even able to offer Ridge Point independent living the opportunity to stay 4 days, 3 nights. The days up at the cabin are filled with pontoon rides, fishing, camp fire songs, s’mores, good food, games, crafts, and lots of laughter. This trip allows Residents to experience the north, a vacation, and nature one more time before the end of their journey.
Read Maxine's Letter to hear about what this trip means to her.
